Jif Natural Peanut Butter Prize Pack & Giveaway!
We recently had the opportunity to try out the new Natural Peanut Butters from Jif. First let me just say, we go through A LOT of Jif peanut butter in this house. A LOT. Umm, let's see, we put peanut butter on carrots, in our PB&J sandwiches, of course, our pancakes, our english muffins, our hamburgers, yes, you read correctly, our hamburgers, and believe it or not, they are the best burgers in the world! What else? Peanut butter in our meatloaf, (This is the only way our girls will eat meatloaf!) peanut butter on bananas, on strawberries, on chicken... okay, just about everything.
Normally when we receive a package from a company, it gets put away until we are ready to try it, usually later on that day or the next day. Not this package, nope. Both jars of peanut butter were opened, and spoons were diving with in minutes. Even the dogs were drooling. As I pried away a jar from my husband, and began reading the label, I was amazed to see that this new Natural peanut butter contained 90% peanuts! Now, because I only have Jif in my pantry, I couldn't do any comparisons with what other brands contained, but I loved the fact that it only contains 65 - 80 milligrams of sodium! And with a whopping 7 grams of protein per serving, I know I can get to the amount of protein I need daily, that much easier.
With Jif Natural Peanut Butter, there is no need to stir it before you use it, it's thick and has a great strong peanut butter taste. I think I will be replacing my Jif, with Jif Natural from now on. I also loved the fact that when I looked in the Chunky jar, all I saw were lots and lots of peanuts!
In our package that we received from Jif, we also received a reuseable tote, and a Reuseable Sandwich bag. I did not know these existed. My girls liked these so much that I need to find another one of these so they each have one, and I wont have to hear, "Well you used it yesterday!"
Now for the fun part. Want to win a Jif Natural Peanut Butter Prize Pack? You'll have the chance to win a prize pack containing 1 Jif Natural Creamy Jar, 1 Jif Natural Chunky Jar, a reuseable sandwich bag, as well as a reuseable lunch tote bag.

LOL! I thought we used a lot of pb! Never heard of some of the ways you use it. To be greener, I use homemade cleaners, cloth napkins, and recycle, recycle, recycle! :o)
We do lots of things to be greener! Here are a few: use reuseable bags, buy local products, and up-cycle

We use canvas bags when we shop, we also recycle our cans, paper, and batteries so they don't end up in landfills. We make our own laundry detergent and have been switching to all natural cleaners that are better for the environment.
We use reusable bags and when we get plastic bags from the store we use those as liners for our trash cans. We also buy special light bulbs.

I use reusable bags and try to recycle news papers, magazines, bottles & cans!
To be greener I recycle and re-use everything that I can. I even started an unofficial book trade in my apartment building. There is a bench in the apartment lobby where I started putting out my paperbacks after I read them (the ones that I buy when I can't find them at the library). Soon, other people started putting books down there too. Now my apartment building has it's own little free library. It's green, saves all of us money on books and makes for good neighbors.

We use our city's recycle bins. We usally fill up both bins each week! I have also started trying to use more reusable bags at the grocery store. Although, when I do use the plastic grocery bags, we re-use them or they go in our recycle bin. :)

We always recycle everything we possibly can, use cloth totes for shopping, hang a good deal of laundry on the line, turn off lights when not in the room, and walk everywhere we can!
I recycle, compost, use my tote bags, do not buy paper towels or napkins and turn off the lights when we leave the room

We should really do better about being green... can't say we really contribute much. :( I do hang the clothes out to dry in the spring & summer.

I wash and reuse my ziploc bags instead of throwing them away after use. Also, I put peanut butter (and jelly) in my morning yogurt.
I changed all of the shower heads in our house to conserve water.

I make sure that I leave my canvas bags in the trunk of my car. Then when I am out shopping, I know that I have them to use.
I also like to buy local produce at the farmers market. Sadly those are pretty much over for the year.
Thanks!

We like peanut butter too! A favorite snack with my kids is apple slices with peanut butter. For me, peanut butter and bananas are comfort food! And yes, we try to be greener in our living, including using canvas bags for our shopping, using reusable containers for lunches instead of baggies, and using a water filter instead of buying tons of plastic gallons of water jugs. creedamy at yahoo dot com

I bring reusable paper bags when I grocery shop!
I use reusable bags and hang my laundry to dry. To fluff up towels I put them in the dryer for just a minute or two to soften them up after line drying

We don't use reusable bags, but we reuse the bags we get from the store several times (as lunch bags, as produce bags when we go to our community garden, etc...)
