Walmart + Black Friday = Clusterjam

By now, if you're a Black-Friday-Holic, I'm pretty sure you have not only heard, but also have seen the Walmart Black Friday ad. By far, one of the best ads we have seen in a long time. I am almost tempted NOT to go, as I am quite certain, for lack of another word, is going to be a HUGE Clusterjam. (However, I am pretty sure I am a Masochist, and will be going to Walmart anyway.)

15" Laptops for as low as $198....Blu-Ray Players as low as $69....32" LCD TV's as low as $198... Need I really say anymore?

Now to top off the incredible prices that I see in the ad, I also see that they have released a almost sort of Treasure hunt style map for your local stores to show you where each HOT item will be located. Hmmm, not really sure if this is a good idea or not. I can see people "B" lining to certain areas trying to obtain that laptop, or TV, to make matters even more difficult, Walmart will be open much earlier...but their hot sale prices on the electronic items will not start until 5 am. (Insert big fat question mark over your head now...)
So not only will we have people running over people to be one of the 10 to get a laptop at $198, but we will also have people waiting in front of the registers, with their carriages filled with the electronic items, waiting for the clock to strike 5am. It will be every man, woman, and child for themselves, as Black Friday always seems to bring out the worst in people. All etiquette flys out the window, and people start to resemble the times when Cavemen roamed the earth. People grunting, pushing, and cursing.
I would like to know who thinks up these sales, and rules. I sometimes wonder if the suits of Walmart seriously think up ways on how to make a bad situation worse, and look at the security cameras from the previous year, as they sit in their manager's chairs with their fingers tapping each other, and a grin from ear to ear, watching all the Black Friday mice wander through aisles looking for the proverbial cheese. "This year, lets give them a map, and see how many mice, don't make it."
With that said, I am hoping that you will be safe, and find everything that you are looking for this Black Friday!

We kind of want to get that 198 laptop and the 198 32 inch tv and the MIL wants the 42 inch but we are thinking of just skipping walmart this year. Too much confusion. Walmart on fb says different stores have different rules for how the big ticket electronics will work. Some stores will give out tickets so you don't have to wait in a line - you can shop for other stuff or go sit down somewhere until 5 am. Other stores make you wait in line at each "letter" until 5 am while other stores you can put the item in your cart whenever, you just cant check out till 5am. They said to call your local store to see what their rules are. I liked it better when they closed and everyone waited outside. We did it 2 years ago and there wasn't really a big deal when the doors opened. For the most part everyone filed in in order.
