Organization Resolutions?
One of my smaller resolutions for 2011 is to be more organized, to get my family to be more organized. Many people have this same resolution. If your like me, your days can be pretty hectic. I have tried the Mom planners, the 12 month pocket calendar that fits into your purse, the chalkboard, notes on the fridge, etc. Nothing has really seemed to work. I always forget something.
However it dawned on me last night, that I always have one item that is ALWAYS attached to me. That's my phone. I currently have the Samsung Vibrant. I love this phone. I probably use my phone at least 2 dozen times each day, and that's being conservative. Whether it's looking something up online, making phone calls, taking pictures, listening to music, or doing some price comparisons, I always have my phone.
So it would only make sense to find a great app or two that would allow me to be more organized. After downloading, installing and uninstalling dozens of apps last night, if found a great FREE app that lets me put in my own categories, my own colors, lets me set several alarms, and so much more. I almost didn't want to go to bed last night as I was importing, and adding all the dates, and events that I have on pieces of paper.
Pocket Informant is probably one of the best free apps available for getting yourself organized. It's currently in Beta form for andriod right now, so I'm sure that there will be many updates as it hopefully gets better. I spent the better part of last night transferring all of my apointment cards, anniversary dates, vacation dates, birthday dates into it.
As of right now, it's working beautifully. So if your looking for a new way to become more organized, and the traditional old, paper agendas just don't work for you, consider the Pocket Informant. Head on over to your App store, or Andriod Market and look it up today.
