Our Reward Points Plans!

Having had a house fire this past year, and having to re purchase just about everything we once had, has been quite draining. Now that we are finally back living in our house, not having to wake up to construction workers arriving at oh "dark, thirty" every morning, we have had the opportunity to put things where we want, decorate without having to worry about sawdust, paint etc.

There have been a few things that we realize we still need for the house, so we make those treks, and head to a home store, and purchase them, provided we have a coupon or two. Thankfully Bed Bath & Beyond is always good for sending us lots of great coupons!

So when family members have asked us what we needed for our house, it's been a blessing to say "Nothing." Now with Christmas here, many people have called us, asking us what we needed or wanted for the house, my husband and I looked at each other and both said "Home Depot gift cards. Why? Well here's why:

That is a door in one of the family rooms. The door, goes nowhere, well it leads to where we want to put a deck in. This however is a spring project, and since the room had to be torn down and rebuilt, we figured it was a great time to say to the contractor that we didn't want a window there anymore, but a door instead. So now we can only look through the door, and dream of our deck that we will be building come spring.

How will we be paying for all the supplies? Well now that Christmas is just about over, I can concentrate on redeeming my survey points for Home Depot Gift Cards. Our Goal? To differ at least half the cost of supplies, about $500.00 for our deck using nothing but gift cards we receive from gifts and surveys using My Points, and Reward Port, and Inbox Dollars, among several others that I am a member of. It's a big goal, but I think we should be able to reach this by April / May of 2011. As the months get closer, I'll keep you posted, and let you know how well it's going.
