Prepping for Another Storm
I was seriously hoping that we have had our fill of 12 plus inches of snow in a single storm, but unfortunately that's just not the case. I have a few errands to run today, and appointments that cannot be rescheduled, so I will be heading out and trying to get everything done early. I will be back posting later this afternoon, as well as letting you all know if I score any good deals at the drug store. If you are preparing for this storm as well, here's a few tips:
~ Make sure your window washer fluid in your vehicle is full
~ Have your shovels by the door, so you won't have to trudge through the snow to get them
~ Have your bag of ice melt inside, by the front door. Put down a layer of ice melt BEFORE the snow hits, this will help in the aid of preventing ice on your walkway, and make it easier to shovel.
~ Make sure you have enough batteries, and candles. Putting a candle in the rooms you are in, will also help to take the chill out of the air, without having to turn up your heat.
~ Games for the kids. Know where your games are, and get a few out ahead of time.
~ If you're fortunate enough to not lose power, try baking, and get the kids involved when they call off school. (Make sure you have all your baking needs though!)
Stay warm, and I will be back later this afternoon.
