Taking on 2011
2011 looks to be like it's going to be busy year for us. Come February, my little girls officially turn into teenagers. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not yet... February, we will also be heading down to Disney with my awesome in-laws. We are all excited about going, and the girls have now begun to count down the days until we leave.
My husband and I really needed to celebrate and ring in the New Year, and we have definitely noticed a difference all ready. I don't think it's just us either. I think many people and many families were hard hit in 2010, and are embracing the fact that a new year is upon us.
In just a few days, I have noticed more generosity in the people that we have run into. I had to purchase prescription antibiotics for my dog at CVS, which, by the way did you know that your pet can be added to their patient database? I did not know this until last week. I did not have AAA, seems that I forgot to renew it last year. If I had had a AAA card I could have saved an additional $22.00. As I am in line, a very nice man behind me, gave the clerk his card for me to use. (Due to his size, my vet, gave me a scrip, instead of pills, as they would have been double the cost at the vet's office.)
This past Sunday, our storm door, had caught the wind, and whipped open, causing the Easy Glide Door Closures to break. Head to Home Improvement store, where we knew it was a custom door, so we were prepared to hear that each closure would be around $50.00 The awesome clerk there, went into the back where he appeared a few minutes later with a set of them, and said Happy New Year, these are company samples they send to us, we can't sell them...they're free.
Just yesterday, as I was waiting in line at the grocery store, as the woman in front of me checked out, she had a coupon that she could not use, a $4.00 off your purchase of $40.00 or more, she looked at my items, handed me the coupon, and said, "We all should be helping each other, looks like you can use this."
Maybe the old adage of "Positive people attract positive things." is in fact true. I know that my attitude has changed for the better since we made plans to celebrate the New Year.
Have you noticed a difference?

Oh man, I TOTALLY agree with your statement on a positive attitude. I've noticed that when I think positively and view situations through a positive light, I'm rewarded by positive happenings.
Now I know this, it's just getting EVERYONE else to realize this as well O.o
I'm so glad that the year is starting out well for you-You and your family definitely deserve it!!
