Happy Mother's Day
Today is Mother's Day. A day where we celebrate Mom, and give thanks to all those times she was there, all those tears she wiped from our cheeks, all those hugs she gave, and all the advice we never took, but should have.
Many of us will be celebrating our first Mother's Day, dreaming of what the future holds. While other's have been celebrating for a quarter century, and looking back on all the laughter, tears, good times and bad, and thinking about never changing the way they did things.
It's not until we are mothers ourselves that we begin to comprehend all that our mothers gave to us and did for us. It's like that preverbial Ah-Ha moment that all of a sudden hits us, and we say to ourselves, "That's what my mom meant!"
To the dances she dressed me for, the shoulder I have cried on, the laughter I have shared, the joyful moments, the happy memories that have been created, the love that I have felt, and the memories still to be made, this post goes out to my own Mom. I love you more than words can say. Happy Mother's Day.
And to all the Moms, the Step Mom's, the In-Law Moms, the Aunts, the Sisters, the soon-to-be Mom's...
Happy Mother's Day!
May your day be wonderful.
