Daily Diary: No Cortizone Shot For Me!
So I ended up at the doctor's office yesterday afternoon, waiting to get a cortizone shot. I needed some type of relief. Any relief!
Well, after being thoroughly examined, I was told that the pain I was experiencing most likely would not respond to a cortisone shot. Instead, we opted to try something, NON conventional.
Those 5 little gold dots, are acupuncture needles that were inserted yesterday. They will remain in my ear for the next 5 days. It really wasn't bad either, I felt more pain when I got my ears pierced.
I will be the first to admit, I did not honestly think that this was going to work, in fact, I was sure that it wasn't going to work.
On my way home from the doctor, I began to feel better, I must have looked like a lunatic moving my shoulder and arm in all directions while I was driving.
Within 20 minutes of having these inserted, the pain was subdued by about 30%. I went into the doctor's office with about a 9/10 pain level. After 6 hours, the pain level was at a 5/6.
Okay, I'll admit when I was wrong. I was dead wrong. These needles were indeed working, and working well.
This morning, I would say that my pain level is at a 1/2 at the most!
So if you're experiencing pain, I would highly suggest looking into some acupuncture! It is covered by many insurances, non invasive, and really does work!
Please note that this is NOT a sponsored post, this post has just been another regular day in the Bacon Household!
