 Now, a little about Brandy, and who the woman is behind the site.

Brandy left the professional field of Distribution & Warehousing in November of 2009 due to company outsourcing. Determined to be able to support her family on a single income, it was then she learned how to successfully shop sales, use coupons, and become a drug store diva, a pirate of the supermarkets, and an all out bargain bloodhound. She's a mom of beautiful 12 year old twin girls, a wife to her best friend and husband of 14 years, a woman who loves all things beauty, fashion, home goods, and antiques, a queen of all gadgets, a life long rescuer of animals both big and small, and so much more. She writes from her desk in her hometown of Warwick, Rhode Island, where she has been a life long resident. It's here that she writes about great things like sales, coupons, shopping tactics, family life, becoming debt-free, and the not-so-great things like dealing with her girls going through multiple surgeries, life after experiencing a house fire, and just about everything else that comes to mind.

Her long time love affair with writing was evident at an early age where she would write for hours, about anything, everything and nothing. She put away her journals to help support her family in November of 2001, when the family needed health care coverage. So began Brandy's Big Bargains in April of 2008 when she first learned that her job at CZV would be coming to an end. Floating through the blogosphere, she knew she wanted more. It's that more that created Brandy's Big Bargains 2.0. Her writing is back, along with the great deals and steals that she's provided her readers with for almost two years.  In addition, she also uses this platform to write about everyday life, and what it's like to be a working stay at home mom.
