Taking A Moment

I recently received an email from a woman thanking me for helping her. I never thought in a million years, that I would get an email that touched me so much. I thought I would start this blog, to help people save some money, and find some good deals, and bargains for them.

She told me that she had lost her health insurance, and through my site, she was able to get a coupon for her medicine, which saved her from paying an enormous out of pocket expense.

Now I, myself have medical insurance. I consider myself extremely fortunate, as I know that there are hundreds of thousands of hardworking people out there that do not have this benefit, and must choose between putting food on the table for their family or buying their medication each month. With my daughters soon to be going through surgeries, I couldn't imagine having to pay that bill. Yet, at the same time, I know that at any given day, I too could lose my coverage.

I signed up this morning at the AMA - Voice for the uninsured website. This was very easy to do. You simply fill in the applicable requested information, and submit. They will then take you to the next page, where you choose what topic to send to your local Representatives, and click send. That's it, and your voice will be heard. You can also opt in or out of future mailings, if you don't want anything extra in your inbox.
