My Ciao Bella Addiction...

I love gelato, and I live in an area where there really aren't too many places that carry this type of ice cream. For those of you who may not know what gelato is, it's an Italian ice cream, that is creamier than regular ice cream, and can often be found in not so common flavors.  However, local stores are now carrying Ciao Bella, pint size containers of pure bliss.  Now, I will say that this post is a completely unpaid, unbiased, non-sponsored post.  This I felt was so good, that I had to share with everyone! 

I happen to spot a new flavor last week while shopping at my local Stop & Shop... Key Lime Graham.  I have tried a few flavors before, and some were good, others, were not really for my liking, but I can appreciate that. 

Well I make a Key Lime Cheesecake for holidays, and although I absolutely love Key Lime Pie, especially in the form of cheesecake, I hate the amount of time that it takes.  I couldn't very well pass by this new found flavor without curiosity getting the best of me... I bought a pint, (Gasp) without a coupon! 

Later that night it was time to break out the ice cream to cool off a bit, everyone had their bowls, and the flavors from our freezer that they wanted.... I grabbed the Key Lime Graham.  It took only a single bite, to fall in love, I mean, LOVE this flavor.  So much so that I actually found myself making those mmmm noises!   This was so incredibly creamy, and tasted like a very cold version of my own Key Lime Cheesecake that I was hooked. 

I decided last night, that there really needs to a warning label on this product, something like, Warning: After trying this product you may stab family members with your spoon, who try to steal a bite.  Needless to say that currently there are several pints of this in my freezer, all of which, I had purchased without coupons!  Yes I paid $3.50 per pint of this drug, um... gelato. 

Now after surfing the Ciao Bella Blog, I find out that this flavor also comes in the form of an Ice Cream Square, a new twist on the traditional Ice Cream Sandwich.  I also found out that these squares were up for the coveted sofi™ award.  No surprise here, they won.  I don't know what or how the winners are determined, maybe it was the HUGE spike in sales last week.
