Watching Progress...

Seeing things getting done in the house each day is so exciting.  It beats looking at exposed beams for three months.  As the contractors are finishing the messy work in each room, we have been able to go in behind them and get things like curtain rods hung, and wall murals put up. 

 Today we had the carpeting installed in our master bedroom.  Yes, it's dark brown.  I got the raised eyebrows a few times when I told friends and family the color we chose, however there was a method to all of our color decisions... we have an English Mastiff, and are currently on a waiting list to be able to adopt another one.  These dogs, tend to be a bit on the messy side, our choice of colors throughout the house were all chosen around our dogs. 

The girls rooms were finished being painted this past Wednesday, after letting them thoroughly dry, we were able to put the murals up in their rooms.  These weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be to put up.  They come in 8 easy to handle panels.  The hardest part was just trying to match up the seams. 

However, this is still our kitchen.  We got paint on the walls on Wednesday, but are still waiting for the cabinets to come in.  The good news is they are do to arrive at our house next Wednesday, September 1st!  Oh I can't wait!!
