C.O.M.P.L.E.T.I.O.N.!!!!

March 21st, 2010. The date we experienced a house fire. 8 months later, it is finally behind us. All the major construction, painting, etc. has been completed. The are a few things left that are minor details, but nothing that hinders our daily living. The carpeting was laid down yesterday in our Sunroom yesterday. Then it was off to the races to get the curtain rods and curtains hung, all of my husbands barometers hung, and the furniture brought out and placed.

As you can see Boon, just loves the carpeting. There used to be ceramic tiles in this room, which in the Winter were always freezing cold on the feet, so deciding to change it to carpeting was probably one of the smartest things we did. Our contractor did everything he could do, to make sure this was completed before the holidays, and I can't say thank you enough to C&L Builders, of Warwick. Thank you Ron!


My desk was put into place last night, and I couldn't wait for this morning to be able to sit at it, and start posting deals! There are still some minor things we are doing, like putting up pictures, and organizing drawers, but oh it feels so good to not only have a house back again, but to have a home. And I have to thank Stacey at The Flying Pig, I absolutely LOVE my desk! It is perfect in every way, and goes so well in this room. The desk is so elegant, and just the right size, I almost slept there last night!

And last but certainly not least. To everyone who donated, lent a helping hand, listened and cared, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Sitting on the couch last night looking around, and finally relaxing was very surreal. I think my shoulders finally untied themselves last night for the first time in 8 months. Being able to say that the fire is now just a bad memory feels so great!
