Tips 2 Try Tuesday!

It's back to the kitchen this week for our tips!  Here's some great new ones that I have come across. 

♦ To clean up messy spills in your oven, sprinkle salt over the mess immediately, once the oven has cooled, you'll be able to brush away the burnt food with only a sponge.

♦ For bright, sparkling clean dishes, from your dishwasher, add a tablespoon of white vinegar to your dish liquid.  The vinegar will cut the grease, and make your dishes sparkle clean. 

♦ To easily remove sneaker skid marks from linolium flooring, rub the mark with toothpaste before washing.  Spots should come out easily, with only a mop.

♦ To get rid of odors, and clean your garage disposal, place 1 cut up lemon, 1/4 cup of salt, and 6 to 10 ice cubes into disposal and turn on.  The lemon, cuts the odors and freshens, and the salt and ice will remove any residue build up in the disposal. 

♦ Coffee Grinder a bit dull?  Try using a 1/2 cup of rice to grind up, the rice will clean the coffee bean stains, as well as sharpen the blades. 

♦ And last but not least.  I'm not really sure this works, but I had to post I got quite a chuckle out of this one.  If you have mineral deposits in your dishwasher, pour in a container of Tang Drink Mix and run washer.  (You won't want dishes to be in this load.)  Has anyone ever heard of his one?
