A study at Harvard University shows that moderate walking (3mph) 3 hours a week, can cut the risk of heart disease in women by up to 40%. Now for many of us, finding 3 hours a week, is pretty difficult, so start off small. Any amount of walking will have amazing benefits to your body, as well as your mind.
Other benefits include, better breathing, improved circulation, bolsters your immune system, and can help control weight issues.
